LBMS BOYS GAME RESULTS VS. RIVER VALLEY

Lake Belton 7th Grade Silver Falls Short in Overtime Thriller Against River Valley Lake Belton Middle School battled hard but came up just short in a 38-33 overtime loss to River Valley. Lawson Phillips led the charge with 10 points, including a clutch game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime. Blaine Johnson also contributed with 9 points in the closely contested matchup. Despite their late-game heroics, Lake Belton couldn't maintain momentum in the extra period, as River Valley capitalized on key opportunities to secure the win. Lake Belton 7th Grade Red Falls to River Valley in Close Middle School Battle Lake Belton Middle School faced a tough loss against River Valley, falling 18-24 in a hard-fought basketball game. Jeremiah Rivas led the team with 5 points, while both Preston Bragg and Grayson Bradly added 4 points each. Despite strong individual efforts and solid defense, River Valley's consistent scoring proved too much to overcome. The 8th grade red team faced a tough loss against River Valley, with a final score of 50-20. Despite the outcome, several players stood out with their performances. Top Scorers: • Charlie Valish led the team with 10 points. • Makalyn Harrison contributed 6 points. • Nidon Shin and Michael Brooks-Davis each added 2 points. Defensive Highlights: • Roman Zaragoza, Carson Kukulski, and Charlie Valish were key defensive players in the game. Lake Silver Narrowly Defeated by River Valley in a Thrilling Match The 8th grade silver team fell to River Valley by a slim margin, 34-32, on Thursday night. The matchup was intense from start to finish. Leading the scoring efforts for Lake Silver was Jaiden Gomez, who put on an impressive performance with 20 points. Tiger Maxwell contributed 5 points, while Athan Reyna added 3 points. Kaden Bridges and Braxton Bronson rounded out the scoring with 2 points each. Lake Silver’s defense was a standout factor in the game, with Braxton Bronson, Kaden Bridges, Athan Reyna, and Jaiden Gomez playing pivotal roles in holding River Valley’s offense in check. Their effort kept the game within reach until the final moments. The Broncos will look to bounce back in their next game, scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, against North Belton. The game will take place at Lake Belton High School. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the team as they aim to secure a victory.
