The girls basketball teams took on River Valley last night and were unable to come away with a win. In the 7th grade A team game, the Broncos kept it close in the first quarter, but were unable keep that momentum going. River Valley came away with the win 17-32. Caitlin Stringer was the leading scorer with 8 points followed by Torrie Monroe-Peterson with 6 points. Mariah Miller contributed 2 points and Kaidyn Leonard added 1. The 7th grade B team just couldnt fin their groove against a fiesty River Valley team. 7B lost 8-37. Kylie Baker lead the team in scoring with 4 points followed by Zamia Rodriguez and Kassidee Harding with 2 points a piece. The 8th grade B team had a great showing against River Valley. Tatum Hobson did an outstanding job on defense and is the player of the game. The game was back and forth and even went into overtime. Unfortunately, the Broncos would fall by a score of 15-19. In the LBMS vs. River Valley MS matchup, Samiyah Lemus and Carly Frosch stood out with relentless defense and key offensive plays, each scoring 4 points. Final score 10–35 with River Valley taking the win.
