LBMS Girls Dominate over Bonham

LBMS GIRLS DOMINATE OVER BONHAM

Last night the Broncos swept the Bulldogs from Bonham. In the 7th grade A game, Lake took a slight lead in the first quarter 6-2 and increased that lead to 14-4 before the half. The Broncos kept the Bulldogs from scoring a single point in the second half and went on to win 28-4. Armoneyia Kosar lead the team in scoring with 10 points followed by Caitlin Stringer and Sophie Quigley with 4 points a piece. Torrie Monroe-Peterson added 3 points while Lie'Ayshia Andrews, Mariah Miller, and Imani Fisher each had 2 points a piece. The 7th grade B team found themselves behind after the first half 8-10, but bounced in the second half to secure the victory 20-15. Nataleigh Baker and Callie Jacobs lead the team in scoring with 4 points a piece. Rounding out the scoring with 2 points each were Macey Brent, Reagan Lopez, Ella Wardell, Annabelle Gonzales, Kassidee Harding, and Kylie Baker. 8th grade B team Broncos started the night of basketball off with a bang. The defense would come out ready to play and the offense would be rady to score. The Broncos would take the victory over Bonham 20-6, with Bella Evans being the top scorer with 8 points and player of the game. Great job Broncos! The Lake Belton Middle School 8A Girls Basketball team delivered a dominant performance, defeating Bonham Middle School 42-4 in a true team effort. Every player contributed to the victory, with standout Elizah O’Banon leading the way as Player of the Game, scoring 11 points. It wasn’t just about individual performances—every single player played a role in this victory, whether it was scoring, defending, or supporting their teammates. Strong defense, precise offense, and exceptional teamwork showcased the hard work and dedication of the LBMS squad.
