Lake Belton Middle School Broncos Secure Victory with Thrilling 20-14 Win
Lake Belton Middle School’s football team wrapped up their season with an exhilarating 20-14 victory, leaving the fans on their feet and a promising future ahead. This nail-biter showcased some spectacular plays, most notably by wide receiver Jaden Onchweri, who was nothing short of electric. Onchweri scored two long touchdown receptions, energizing the Broncos’ offense and keeping them in the game when it mattered most.
Wyatt Bullard added to the scoreboard with a thrilling long touchdown run, showcasing both speed and vision as he weaved through the defense. His run highlighted an offensive performance bolstered by an outstanding effort from the offensive line, which played its best game of the season. Their performance provided a solid foundation for the Broncos’ explosive plays, ensuring the defense had enough support to protect the lead.
Speaking of defense, the Broncos’ defense stepped up brilliantly. Lawson Phillips was all over the field at linebacker, making crucial stops and leading the defensive charge. Heartbreaker for Lake Red: Season Ends with 13-12 Loss to River Valley
In a nail-biting finish, Lake Red’s football season came to an end as they fell to River Valley, 13-12. Despite a strong offensive performance and a defense that kept the game within reach, the Red couldn’t quite close the gap in the final minutes. Leading the Lake Red offense was quarterback Jase Ptaszek, who connected on two touchdown passes to his favorite target, receiver Tucker Bailey. Running back Landry Dupree also made an impact, contributing with several powerful runs that moved the chains. Receiver Jeremiah Rivas added to the effort, pulling down three catches and helping to maintain the Red’s offensive rhythm. On the defensive side, Lake Red brought energy and grit, led by Mason Brown, Landry Dupree (showing skill on both sides of the ball), Rex Carpenter, and Kaden Carter. They kept River Valley from gaining significant yardage and maintained pressure, giving the offense every chance to fight back. The hard-fought battle ended the season for Lake Red, but the team’s unity, resilience, and passion throughout the season were evident until the last whistle.
