BATTLE OF THE BRONCOS
Lake was unable to come away with win against North Belton last night in the Battle of the Broncos.
The 7A match, unfortunately did not go well for the Lake Broncos. The game went to three sets, but we could not keep any momentum to pull out the win. North would win 25-21, 19-25, 3-15. Players of the game were McKenzie Garcia, Abigail Armstrong, and Audrey Ward.
Lake Belton 7B volleyball team faced off against North Belton in a hard-fought match that went to three sets. They came out strong, winning the first set 25-18, but couldn't maintain the momentum, dropping the next two sets 20-25 and 11-15. Despite the loss, Kinley Pitts was named the player of the game for her tremendous hustle and effort throughout the match.
In the 8B match, Lake struggled to get momentum in the first set. North took the set 17-25. The second set was looking better for Lake as the had the lead late, but couldn't hold. North would win a close second set battle 23-25. Aiyana Rountree was again player of the game with her strong plays at the net and consistent serving.
8A started off with a back and forth battle to begin the first set. North got some momentum halfway through and was able to hold on for a set one victory 16-25. The second set was neck and neck the up until the end. North would manage to come back and win 26-28. Player of the game was Lexi White who would have some great plays at the net.
The regular season finale will be Monday at River Valley. All four teams have secured a spot in the district tournament on October 26th.
