LAKE DOMINATES LAMAR
Last night the LBMS Broncos volleyball teams swept Lamar.
The 7th grade B team had an impressive showing against Lamar Middle School, winning both sets with scores of 25-15 and 15-25. The match showcased the skill and teamwork of the Lake Belton players, leading them to a well-deserved victory.
Macey Bent stood out during the game with her fantastic serves, consistently putting pressure on the opposing team and helping to secure points for Lake Belton. Her powerful and accurate serves played a crucial role in establishing the team's momentum.
Imani Fisher also made significant contributions, demonstrating her agility and strategic play on the court. Her teamwork and communication with her teammates helped to maintain the flow of the game and keep spirits high throughout the match.
The victory not only reflects the hard work and dedication of the players but also serves as a testament to their growing skills and teamwork. Congratulations on this impressive win! The 7B team is undefeated in district play with a 5-0 record.
The 7A Broncos made light work of the Lamar Bearcats last night in a 2 set match. Aubrey Morgenroth put on a serving clinic, serving 19 points as we won the first set 25-11. The second set would be closer, but LBMS would win 25-19. Great job Broncos. The 7A team has a district record of 4-1.
The 8th grade B team came put pressure on Lamar from the beginning and never looked back. In the first set, Emily Harris and Aiyana Rountree would both go on big serving runs with Harris serving 8 in and row and Rountree adding 9. Rountree would also have several good hits throughout the match. Lake would take the first set easily 25-4. In the second set Elizah O'Banon would serve 11 straight service points to give Lake a 20-10 lead. The Broncos would go on to win the second set 25-17. The win keeps the 8B team undefeated in district and for the season.
The 8th grade A team would make quick work of Bearcats in the first set winning 25-7. Kyleigh Morgenroth and Brynlie Wurts both had 5 service points in the set. The second set started a little slower for the Broncos until Carly Frosch went on a 8 point serving run followed up by Wurts with 6 more to close out the set and the match by a score of 25-9. The 8A team is undefeated in district play for the year with a 5-0 record.
