LBMS VOLLEYBALL DOMINATES BONHAM
The LBMS volleyball teams had their first home games of the year against the Bonham Bulldogs last night. All four teams from Lake came away with a victory.
Great win for the 7th grade A team against Bonham. The gym was packed and loud and we had to come from behind in both sets. Bronco fight came through strong to win 29-27 and 26-24. Players of the game were Callie Ables and MJ Navarro.
7th grade B volleyball team showcased their skills and determination in a tightly contested match against Bonham Middle School, emerging victorious in two sets with scores of 25-22 and 25-23. The match was a true testament to their growing skill and sportsmanship, and the team looks forward to carrying this momentum into their upcoming games. Aubrey Sims and Codi Leigh were named players of the game for their key role in the team's victory.
The 8th grade B team got off to a dominating start behind 12 straight service points from Bella Neels. The Broncos kept up the momentum throughout the first set and won 25-9. The second looked pretty much the same. Emily Harris got had an 8 point serving run to start the set, while Presley Pilkington added 11 service points of her own. Jordyn Landry had some great plays at the net while Lilli Gutierrez played well defensively on the back row. The Broncos won set two 25-5.
The 8th grade A team took an early lead in the fist set and held that lead throughout to win 25-12. The second set was a little closer, but the Broncos still pulled away early to secure the set and match by a score of 25-19. Brynlie Wurts had a great defensively and from the service line. Charli Williams had a couple of good net plays to score for Lake.
Lake take on South Belton next Thursday at LBMS starting at 5:30pm.
