Lake Belton Middle School Red Loses to North North Belton emerged victorious against Lake Belton in a riveting basketball matchup on Thursday Night, February 8th, ending with a score of 40-21. Tyree Jackson, a hard working player from Lake Belton, showcased his scoring abilities by leading his team with 10 points. Despite the loss, Jackson's performance on the court was commendable and highlighted his prowess as a key player for Lake Belton. His efforts, however, were not enough to secure a win against a well-prepared North Belton team. Israel Pedroza and Brooks Hull also contributed to Lake Belton's score, with Pedroza adding 5 points and Hull chipping in 3 points. Their contributions were vital in keeping the team competitive throughout the game. However, the combined efforts of Lake Belton's players were met with a robust defense and an aggressive offensive strategy from North Belton. As the season comes to an end, Lake Belton looks to close out its season vs South Belton Middle School on February 12th at Lake Belton High School. Sean Miller, a pivotal player for Lake Belton, led the charge with an impressive 19 points, showcasing his scoring ability and leadership on the floor. Supporting Miller's outstanding effort, Luke Phillips and Cooper Schels each contributed 10 points to the team's tally.
