The 7th grade A team unfortunately could not come away with a win against the Panthers. The Broncos found themselves down early and couldn't come back from the big first half deficit. We were able to the score 10 points in the second half to River Valley's 11. The final score was 19-46. Lexi Walker led the team in scoring with 6 points followed by Charli Williams with 4 points. Brynlie Wurts, Lexi White, Elizah O'Banon, and Areanna Long each had 2 points a piece to round out the scoring.
Bronco 7B took on River Valley last night and unfortunately came up short... we came out very strong winning the first quarter, however, shots were not falling for us and River Valley took advantage of their multiple second chance shots to come out ahead. Our girls never lost fight, though, and that is what I am most proud of! Our top scorer was Neveah Smith.
The Bronco 8th grade B team left it all on the court Wednesday night playing against River Valley. The Broncos played hard, but just could not get any breaks at the basket. River Valley was aggressive and were able to convert on many fast break shots and put backs. The Broncos would lose by a score of 6-23. Audrey Hitt and Soraya Siller did a great job on defense. Courtney Anderson was the player of the game.
LBMS 8th Grade girls' A basketball team had an exciting and competitive game against River Valley Middle School. The determination and never-quit attitude displayed by LBMS played a crucial role in securing the well-deserved victory with a score of 29-24. Ayaana Omisola's impressive performance, leading the team with 16 points, highlights her offensive skills and contribution to the win. Avery Reinhardt's clutch free throws also played a crucial role in sealing the victory, showcasing the importance of composure under pressure. The defensive efforts of Evelyn Bragewitz and Coby Dodd, with their ability to secure rebounds and takeaways, were instrumental in limiting the opposing team's scoring opportunities. Teamwork on both ends of the court was a key factor in the success of the LBMS girls.
