LBMS GAME RESULTS VS. S.C. LEE
Lake Belton 7th grade split with S.C. Lee
In the 7th grade red team game, it was a heart-stopping Nail-Biter showdown, Lake emerged triumphant over S.C. Lee with a final score of 35 to 34, leaving the spectators on the edge of their seats. The game showcased outstanding performances from key players, making it a memorable event for both teams and their supporters.
Leading the charge for Bronco was Briggs Robin, who proved to be the offensive powerhouse with an impressive 8 points. Andrew McGuire followed closely with 7 points, while Michael Brooks-Davis contributed 6 points to the team's score. Jakobe Sisson displayed skillful play, securing 4 points, and James Kelly, Javi Guerra, and Cooper Smith each added 2 points to the tally. Charlie Valish rounded off the scoring with 1 point, highlighting the team's well-distributed offensive efforts.
The defensive prowess of the Broncos played a pivotal role in clinching the narrow victory. The combined efforts of Briggs Robin, Caleb Eckert, Andrew McGuire, Michael Brooks-Davis, Javi Guerra, Carter Johnson, and James Kelly demonstrated the team's commitment to both ends of the court. Their strategic plays and resilience in the face of S.C. Lee's attacks contributed significantly to the hard-fought win.
In the Silver Team game the Broncos would be handed their first loss of the season to an outstanding S.C. Lee team.
Lake was plagued by missed free-throws, turnovers, and missed second chance put-backs which led to the Broncos down fall.
The final score was 58 to 33.
Leading the scoring for the Broncos were Tiger Maxwell with 13 points, Braxton Bronson 8 points, Jaiden Gomez with 5 points, Kyson Fish 3 points, and Tristan Cannady, Erick Harness both had 2 points.
The next game will be tournament play for both teams. The 7th grade Red Team will be in the Academy Tournament and the Silver Team will play in the West Tournament on Saturday January 20.
