LBMS 7TH GRADE GAME RESULTS VS SOUTH BELTON

Broncos Cap Season with 18-0 Shutout Win Over South Belton In their season finale on Monday night, the 7th grade Lake Belton Bronco Silver Team delivered a dominant performance, shutting out the South Belton Tigers 18-0 at Tiger Stadium. Lake Belton set the tone early after receiving the opening kickoff. The Broncos executed a methodical drive down the field, capping it off with a touchdown with just 4 seconds remaining in the first quarter to take an early 6-0 lead. South Belton attempted to swing the momentum back in the second quarter, mounting a drive deep into Bronco territory. However, with the Tigers threatening at the 20-yard line, the Lake Belton defense stepped up, picking off a pass to halt the scoring threat. The end of the first half featured a whirlwind sequence of big plays. Taking over at their own 5-yard line with two minutes left in the half, the Broncos turned the ball over on a fumble, giving South Belton possession with only 39 seconds remaining. But as time expired in the half, the Lake Belton defense made the play of the night—intercepting a Tiger pass and returning it for a pick-six to stretch the lead to 12-0 heading into the locker room. Lake Belton carried that momentum directly into the second half. Receiving the kick to open the third quarter, the offense broke loose on a thrilling 70-yard touchdown run to push the advantage to 18-0. The Broncos' defense sealed the shutout with under a minute remaining in the game by forcing a fumble, putting an end to South Belton's final drive and securing the victory. Offensively, Tay’shon Lucas led the charge for Lake Belton, while Bronx Morris anchored a relentless defensive unit. With the 18-0 victory, the Bronco Silver Team puts a stamp on their season, finishing the year on a high note.
