LBMS 7TH GRADE GAME RESULTS VS BONHAM

The Lake Belton Broncos 7th grade Silver Team dropped a tough contest on Monday night, falling 31-0 to the Bonham Middle School Bulldogs. Bonham set the tone early in the opening quarter. After receiving the game's opening kickoff, the Bulldogs mounted a sustained drive, capping it off with a touchdown with 4:32 left in the first quarter to take an 8-0 lead. The Broncos put together a solid drive in response, moving the ball down the field into Bulldog territory. However, the drive stalled out on a fourth-down attempt at the Bonham 30-yard line, turning the ball back over to the Bulldogs. Bonham capitalized on the momentum shift in the second quarter. The Bulldogs expanded their lead to 16-0 with a touchdown at the 6:45 mark, then added another score through the air with just 33 seconds remaining in the half to take a 24-0 advantage into the locker room. Lake Belton received the second-half kickoff, but the Bulldog defense held firm, preventing the Broncos from converting a first down. Both defenses held their ground throughout the rest of the third frame, keeping the score deadlocked at 24-0 heading into the final period. Bonham added one final touchdown with 1:51 remaining in the game to seal the 31-0 victory. Despite the difficult outcome, Lake Belton saw strong individual performances on both sides of the ball. Nathan Frosch stood out as the offensive player of the game for the Broncos, while George Flor led the defensive effort with impact play throughout the evening. The Lake Belton 7th grade Silver Team will look to bounce back next week when they travel to face the South Belton Tigers at Tiger Field on Monday, October 26. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
