7th Grade Silver Broncos Fall to S.C. Lee Bulldawgs The Lake Belton 7th Grade Silver Broncos traveled to Bulldawg Stadium on Monday night to face off against the S.C. Lee Bulldawgs, coming away with a tough 35-0 loss despite showing grit in all four quarters. Lake Belton started the game with momentum after receiving the opening kickoff. The Bronco offense pieced together an impressive drive, marching all the way down to the Bulldawgs' 1-yard line. However, S.C. Lee's defense made a crucial goal-line stand on 4th-and-1 to force a turnover on downs as time expired in the first quarter. Taking over deep in their own territory, the Bulldawgs found their rhythm in the second quarter. S.C. Lee capped off a long drive with a touchdown with 5:00 left in the half to open the scoring at 6-0. Shortly after, the Bulldawg defense made a game-changing play with a pick-six at the 3:05 mark, expanding the lead to 13-0. S.C. Lee kept the pressure on just before halftime, returning a Bronco punt for a touchdown with 47 seconds left to take a 21-0 advantage into the break. Though the Bulldawgs received the second-half kickoff, Lake Belton's defense held firm initially and forced a quick stall. However, S.C. Lee re-established control later in the frame, breaking through for another touchdown with 55 seconds remaining in the third quarter to push the score to 29-0. The Broncos continued to battle on both sides of the ball, but S.C. Lee sealed the victory with a long touchdown run with just 20 seconds remaining in the game, bringing the final score to 35-0. Standout Broncos Despite the outcome, several Lake Belton players delivered strong individual efforts: Christopher Gibson led the way for the Bronco offense, competing hard on every series. Ramsey Cabiad anchored the Bronco defense, making key plays throughout the contest. Next Up The 7th Grade Silver Broncos will look to bounce back when they return home next week.
