The LBMS Broncos took to the road last night to take on the Pantherettes from Midway Middle School. All four teams came away victorious. 8B won their match in two sets 25-15 and 25-17. Elizabeth Neels got both sets started with several aces from the serving line. The rest of the team worked well together to help earn the win. 8A also won in two sets. After a slow start in the first set, the Broncos came back from a 6 point deficit to win 25-23. That momentum continued into the second set and Lake dominated Midway 25-9. Nettie Morgenroth had some awesome kills in each of the two sets along with a couple blocks. Abby Malone and Charlie Stawski each had several assist. 7B won a thrilling 3 set match. After dropping the first set 19-25 the team rebounded in the next two sets winning 25-11 and 15-10. Raelyn Redding and Abigail Shipp both went on long serving runs that helped the team claim the win. 7A fought hard in all three sets and eventually won the match. They dropped the first set 27-29 and came back to win set two 25-23. The third set was was back and forth with the Broncos coming out on top 16-14. Zza'Mya Goodwin had a great game at the net for Lake getting her first block.
