As we prepare to begin our middle school football season, we want to make sure we are putting our student athletes in the best possible position to compete safely and successfully. With the current heat conditions and the limited amount of practice time our athletes have been able to spend in the elements, we have made the decision to combine our 7th and 8th grade contests for Week 1 of the season, and we will scrimmage these teams on 9/8. This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution and will allow us to better manage our athletes’ exposure to the heat while giving our coaches additional time to safely and properly prepare them for the next game. Students will continue to compete against their respective grade levels, with 7th graders competing against 7th graders and 8th graders competing against 8th graders.
