LBMS 7TH GRADE BOYS GAME RESULTS VS. RIVER VALLEY

Lake Red Edges River Valley, 25–21 With the game moved up to Wednesday night, Lake Red traveled to River Valley and came away with a hard-fought 25–21 victory, securing a favorable seed for the upcoming district tournament set for next Saturday, January 31, back at River Valley. Lake showcased a well-balanced scoring attack, led by Colin McKinney with 5 points. Izaak Sebek, Gregory Hemm, and Jonah Kellough each added 4 points, while Giovanni Terry and LaVencent Wren chipped in 3 apiece. Luke Johnston rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Defensively, Lake Red set the tone throughout the night. Giovanni Terry, Colin McKinney, Gregory Hemm, Zayne Tanner, Braxton Kukulski, Luke Johnston, Kellen Maybin, and Jonah Kellough all played key roles in slowing River Valley and preserving the win. Lake Red now turns its focus to the district tournament, carrying momentum into Saturday’s matchup. Lake Silver Rolls Past River Valley Silver, 43–31 Lake Silver put together an impressive performance, defeating River Valley Silver 43–31 behind a balanced scoring attack and strong team defense. Jonathan Dwyer and Felix Gomez led the way with 12 points apiece, setting the tone early. Jace Moon added 7 points, while Anders Phillips chipped in 6. Brody Rosenbaum finished with 3 points, Kevin Saunders had 2, and Jayden Torres added 1 to round out the scoring. Solid rebounding and timely defense proved to be the difference. The Jordan Defense was outstanding, and Lake controlled the boards with strong efforts from Jace Moon, Anders Phillips, Felix Gomez, and Jonathan Dwyer. With the win, Lake Silver heads into the district tournament with momentum. The tournament will be held next Saturday, January 31, at River Valley Middle School.
