7 A&B Girls Defeat North

7 A&B GIRLS DEFEAT NORTH

In the Battle of the Broncos, Lake went 2-2 with North. The 7th grade A team opened up with a gritty back and forth battle with Lake edging North 23-22. Lake held North to just 4 points in the first half to take an early lead 16-4. However, North stopped Lake from scoring in the third quarter and took a one point lead. Both teams battled in the 4th quarter and Lake was able to come away with the win. Sydney Harvey lead the team in scoring with 7 point followed by Charli Stawski with 6 points. Willa Nanney scored 4 points, while Zariah Garcia and Campbell Seideman each scored 2 points a piece. Stella Beronio and Laynie Wurts rounded out the scoring with 1 point each. Emmerson Londergan and Anna-Lena Bowers played some great defense for Lake. The 7B team also had a tight game. Lake took the lead in the first half 7-4 and were able to hold for a 13-10 win. Kelcie Stephenson lead the team with scoring with 6 points followed by Lucy Mahoney with 4 points. Adaline Wyrick chipped in 2 points and Giana Wren had 1 point. The Lake Belton 8 B team put up a strong fight, but were not able to stop North Belton on Thursday night. North Belton came away with the win 13-23. Maysen Von Rajcs and Emery Hobson played well on defense. Kassidee Harding and Zamia Rodriguez did a good job on offense. Zamia and Kassidee both had 4 points in the game. The 8A team lost to North 49-18.
