LBMS Girls win 3 over Belton MS

LBMS GIRLS WIN 3 OVER BELTON MS

The LBMS girls took the short trip over to Belton MS last night and came away with 3 wins. 8th Grade Results The 8B Broncos played solid defense and offense and defeated the Tigers 30-16. The Broncos started off slow in the first half, but turned up the pressure in the second half. Zamia Rodriguez had 8 points and Lucy Arevelo had 4 points. Great win for the Broncos. Lake Middle School Girls 8A delivered a dominant performance against Belton Middle School, earning a convincing 38–10 victory. Leading the offensive charge was Caitlin Stringer, who poured in 18 points and was named Offensive Player of the Game for her outstanding scoring ability and leadership on the court. Strong support came from Callie Jacobs and Mariah Miller, who each contributed 6 points, helping Lake maintain control throughout the game. Defensively, Mckenzie Garcia earned Defensive Player of the Game honors by showing exceptional grit, determination, and the right level of aggressiveness that set the tone all night. She was strongly supported on the defensive end by Kaidyn Leonard and Macey Brent, whose effort, hustle, and teamwork helped shut down Belton’s offense. To cap off a complete team performance, Torrie Peterson’s selflessness stood out as she consistently made great passes to put her teammates in position to score. Her fearless defense and ability to steal the ball earned her Workhorse of the Game honors. Overall, it was an impressive win that showcased Lake’s balance, intensity, and unselfish team play on both ends of the court. 7th Grade Results The 7th grade A team had a dominating preformance winning 47-19. Sydney Harvey lead the team in scoring with a season high 16 points. Willa Nanny had an impressive offensive performance as well with 10 points, 8 of those coingin the 1st quarter. Rounding out the scoring was Emery Seideman with 7 points, Laynie Wurts with 6 points, and Campbell Seideman and Zariah Garcia both with 4 points. Anna-Lena Bowers had a great night defensively. The 7th grade B team Lake Belton Broncos lost a hard fought game in overtime 18-19, to the Belton Middle School Tigers. The players of the game go to Halle Von Dohlen and Elyannah Hummel.
