LBMS FOOTBALL GAME RESULTS VS. S.C. LEE

The Lake Middle School Red Broncos battled hard on Tuesday evening but came up short against the Cove Lee Cougars, falling by a score of 26–0. Despite the loss, the Broncos showed grit and determination throughout the contest. The defense had strong moments, holding the Cougars on several drives and making key tackles to slow down a fast-paced offense. The outstanding players were Daniel Sommers, Kaden Carter and Mateo Vela-Rios. On the offensive side, Lake continued to fight for yardage against a tough Cougar defense, with several players stepping up to keep drives alive. Quarterback Jett Turner, Connor Krueger and Lineman Bentley Ayers played well. With continued focus and teamwork, Lake hopes to turn lessons learned from this game into success on the field in the coming weeks. The Broncos will look to regroup and build on their effort as they prepare for their next matchup. The Lake Belton Silver Broncos hosted the S.C. Lee Cougars on Tuesday in a competitive matchup that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The first half featured a back-and-forth offensive battle, with both teams putting together two scoring drives apiece. At halftime, the Broncos held a narrow 16-15 lead, showing resilience on both sides of the ball. The third quarter saw the Cougars shift gears, leaning heavily on their ground game to control the tempo. Their methodical approach paid off, as they reclaimed the lead and entered the final quarter ahead 21-16. In the fourth, the Cougars capitalized on a worn-down Bronco defense, extending their lead to 29-16. Despite the deficit, Lake Belton mounted a determined drive deep into Cougar territory. However, the effort came up short as a critical 4th-down attempt failed to convert. With the final whistle, the S.C. Lee Cougars walked away with a 29-16 victory. Though the Broncos couldn’t secure the win, their first-half performance and late-game push showed plenty of promise heading into the rest of the season. Outstanding players for the Bronco offense included Lawson Phillips, Blain Johnson, and Harrison Fryar. On the defensive side, Xavier Mitchell, Barrett Kennon, and Wyatt Bullard were top performers. The Broncos will look to regroup as they compete against Lamar Middle School on Tuesday, September 16th.
