LBMS VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MIDWAY
The Lake Belton Middle School volleyball teams opened the season with a clean sweep over Midway Middle School.
7th grade A opened up the night winning in two sets 25-23 and 25-18. Both sets were filled with great serving and hustle plays. The players of the game were Charlie Stawski and Campbell Seideman for great serving and defensive plays.
The 7th grade B team won in two sets 25-10 and 25-18. The players of the game go to Nettie Morgenroth with 22 total service points between the two sets and defensive standouts from Logan Stahl and Willa Nanney.
The 8th grade B team started strong in set on winning 25-15, but couldn't get into a grove in the second set losing 12-25. The Broncos really pulled it together in the third and final set to come away with a victory 15-3. Raquela Siprian was strong from the service line with 12 service points to lead the team while Emma Myers played well defensively.
8th grade A team closed out the night with a three set victory. Lake dropped a close first set 22-25, but came back strong in the second set dominating the Panthers in a 25-10 win. The third set was close until the Broncos pulled away at the end with 4 straight service points by Zamia Rodriguez to end the set and match 15-11. Ava Cavazos had a strong night at the line with 13 service points, while MJ Navarro played well on office with several kills.
